Going back more than 30 years, a small food company was founded by Mr. Akom Palanuwech. While studying in the USA, he thought about the possibility of producing Thai food ingredients packed in sachets like the other Western food ingredients which were sold in supermarkets. He himself wanted to have some packaged curry pastes using Thai brands. After coming back to Thailand, he had a chance to start a joint venture company specialized in ingredients for sausages, ham and bacon under the company name “Grifth Laboratories Thailand Co., Ltd. Continuing on from this, he followed the project and produced the first three products under the “Lobo” brand name: Roasted Red Pork Seasoning Mix, Satay Seasoning Mix and Agar Dessert Mix. He later bought out foreign shares and founded “Globo Foods Ltd.”. From only 3 items 30 years ago, it has become more than 100 items in the present day. Other than this, the company also produces seasoning powder, breadcrumbs, liquid sauces and ready-to serve foods for both domestic and foreign markets.

With regard to the marketing strategy that has kept “Lobo” in the minds of consumers until now, it is all about keeping the old customers from the beginning who can spread the product used by words of mouth to the young generation. In addition to this, the company use all kinds of media advertisements in order to find new customers including teenagers and the workforces who seek helpers when cooking at home. The company use the slogan “Delicious, easy, skip the complicated process”. Together with the key of new product development, the company has chosen to create complicated products no one else could have expected to make and has let consumers enjoy the easy cooking at home.
