First established in 1983 as Honda Cars (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and changed to Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in 2000, Honda Automobile (Thailand) s an automotive distributor, manufacturer and exporter. The headquarter consists of marketing, sales and service operation located in Bangna District, Bangkok Province. As part of our service development, Honda will increase he number of Honda service centers from 175 to 200 by late 2013.

The manufacturing facilities located on over 530 rai in the Rojana Industrial Park, Ayutthaya Province. It is Honda’s sixth-largest assembly plant worldwide, ollowing plants in Japan, the United States, China, Canada and the United Kingdom. Honda’s Ayutthaya assembly plant is one of the most advanced and innovative Honda facilities in the world in terms of technology, production, environmental standards and utilizes an ergonomic design that ts the employees’ vork environment. It has over 6,600 employees and current production capacity is 280,000 units per year and will achieve an annual production capacity of 300,000 units per year in 2014. The plant produces ten Honda models including the Brio, Brio Amaze, Jazz, Jazz Hybrid, City, City CNG, Civic, Civic Hybrid, Accord and CR-V for the domestic market and for export o more than 65 countries worldwide in ASEAN, Oceania, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean.

Honda also announced investment of 17.15 billion baht to build the second assembly & engine plant in Prachinburi province and 2.91 billion baht to expand a production capacity at the Honda assembly plant in Ayutthaya Province. A new plant has scheduled to begin construction in July 2013 and start operating in 2015. It will have a production capacity of 120,000 units per year. With the combined capacity of the two plants, Honda’s total annual production capacity for vehicles in Thailand will increase to 420,000 units per year in 2015.

In addition, Honda also demonstrates our strong commitment to be a company that society wants to exist and grow sustainably together with Thai society. The Honda Group of Companies in Thailand set up the Honda Khiang Khang Thai Fund in March 2012, as part of the Honda Thailand Foundation. This fund was established to help Thai people during a crisis such as a natural disaster. To date, the Fund has grown to more than 600 million baht. The Fund’s activities have included relief efforts to help Thai people who were affected by cold weather and flooding in several provinces; the donation of custom-built ambulances converted from Honda Step Wagon Spada and Motor- Lances adapted from Honda CBR250R motorcycles; and conducting training courses on how to manage natural disasters for people living in risk areas.
