Thantawan Industry, formerly known as Blowtech (Thailand) Co, Ltd, was founded in 1978. It has become a public company and listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand on November 19, 1994. It is nowadays considered a world’s leading company in plastic conversion with over 38 years of successful track record, and well-recognized expertise in manufacturing plastic straws and bags as it was the first producer of reclosable bag and flexible straw in Thailand. It has 4 main product lines, including LDPE resin, HDPE resin, PP resin, and compostable bioplastics.
The Company has been an ISO900:2008, ISO14001:2004 and ISO 50001:2011 certified company with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) as well as DIN EN 13432:2000-12 Certifications for its products made of Compostable materials.

It has been a continual winner of both local and international awards, including SET Awards for “Outstanding Company Performance” (2012), a silver medal from the 1st Thailand Plastic Awards (2013), “Best Exporter” from PM Awards (2014) by DITP (Ministry of Commerce), a gold and a silver medals from the 1st ASEAN Plastic Awards (2014), Design Excellence Awards (DEmark 2015), Good Design Awards (G-mark 2015), a gold and a silver medals from the 2nd Thailand Plastic Awards (2015), and IP Champion (2016) by the Department of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Commerce).
